Zurich North America is currently looking for a Senior Reinsurance Analyst to join our Group Reinsurance organization based out of our North American Headquarters in Schaumburg, Illinois or remotely. As a Senior Reinsurance Analyst, you are responsible for handling complex reinsurance transactions, ensuring compliance with terms and conditions of the reinsurance agreements, proper accounting methodology, and departmental standard operating procedures.

Additionally, you will be responsible for a data manipulation and report generation out of Zurich North America’s new, SAP based reinsurance system, SAP FS-RI and FS-CD, Analysis for Office, and Business Objects. This role will take an initiative-taking and holistic approach to business practices and processes, including identifying opportunities for improvement, developing solutions, and help managing initiatives.

Basic Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting or Finance and 6 or more years of experience in the Reinsurance area within the Insurance industryOR

  • High School Diploma or Equivalent and 8 or more years of experience in the Reinsurance area within the Insurance industry

Preferred Qualifications:

  • CPA / CPCU / CFA / CTP

  • Advanced knowledge of reinsurance contracts

  • Knowledge of SAP reinsurance solutions, particularly FS-RI and/or FS-CD and ability to leverage those technologies to improve insurance business processes and transaction processing

  • Data analysis and analytics (e.g., Alteryx)

  • Advanced knowledge of reinsurance claim recoverable process and link to direct claim processing

  • Technology experience related to one or more of the following areas: General ledger, financial reporting systems, Business Objects, or other query tools

  • Strong verbal and written communication skills

Compensation for roles at Zurich varies depending on a wide array of factors including but not limited to the specific office location, role, skill set, and level of experience. As required by local law, Zurich provides in good faith a reasonable range of compensation for roles. Candidates with salary expectations outside of the range are encouraged to apply, and will be considered based on experience, skill, and education. The salary provided is a nationwide market range and has not been adjusted for the applicable geographic differential associated with the location where the position may be filled. The starting salary range for this position is $72,800.00 - $119,200.00.
